And now for something completely different…

It’s the time of year when some of us are thinking about a trip to Europe, but realizing it may not be in the budget. The ‪#‎WePlayOn‬ musicians can guarantee sun, a Mediterranean atmosphere, and a fun-filled evening of world music – all on the patio at Mykonos Restaurant. Our very own principal clarinet – Graham Lord – will switch from classical to klezmer for this special Musical Feast. Please join us for some authentic Greek cuisine and enjoy the eclectic music of The Light of East Ensemble.

#WePlayOn in May

Warm weather has finally arrived in Southwestern Ontario. Now that we can all get out without the aid of shovels and snow tires, we hope to see many more of you at our May events.

Please join our own Fab Four – Jeff Wall, Kelly Eydt, Jackie Milne and Julia Macgregor –  at a lunch-hour quartet ‘pop up’ concert at Cherryhill Mall on Friday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m. What better way to spend Friday lunchtime, than enjoying an hour of free, live music?

On Wednesday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m., maestro Uri Mayer and four of Canada’s most exciting, young singers join us for an evening of vocal fireworks and symphonic majesty. Come with us on a journey through some of the most enchanting moments in the operas of Mozart, Rossini and Verdi, followed by the brilliance and emotional angst of Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony.

Our 3rd Musical Feast Fundraiser on May 30, provides an opportunity for our patrons to mix and mingle with the musicians, in the intimate atmosphere of a country estate, hidden from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There are a limited number of tickets available for this unique experience. Reserve soon to avoid disappointment.

As we continue our commitment to bring professional, live, orchestral music to our community, we encourage you all to read the proposal for funding which was presented by the City of London, in conjunction with the London Arts Council. When the date for further city council discussion on the proposal becomes available, it will be posted on this website. We encourage our supporters to be present at any city hall meetings at which this topic is listed on the agenda.
